You can track time to any Standard or Custom Objects of Salesforce.
By default, the app is set to track time to Projects, Tasks, and Work-types.
You might see other objects for tracking time rather than Projects/Tasks/Work types. Because the Administrator at your org has made the configuration changes for tracking time to different objects.
