Project Rollups

Project Rollups automatically calculate and display total values from all related tasks at the Project level.


In the Project record, rollups are available for:

  • Project Estimated Hours
  • Project Estimated Amount


Please ensure the following details are added while creating the Project:

  • Project Hourly Rate
  • Project Estimated Amount
  • Project Estimated Hours

Once these details are entered, the roll-ups will automatically calculate when users track time against the project tasks and the TT details are marked as Billable.

How Project Rollups Work


When time is tracked against tasks related to a project, and the TT Details are marked as Billable (checkbox enabled):

  • The Project Hourly Rate is applied to the total billable hours from the TT Details.
  • The calculated amount is deducted from the Project Estimated Amount.
  • The logged hours are deducted from the Project Estimated Hours. 

Benefits

This helps Project Managers easily understand:

  • How much budget is remaining
  • How many hours are still available for the project

This makes planning the remaining tasks simpler and more efficient.


The rollup details are displayed in the Manage Project section, as shown in the screenshot below.
