Team Collaboration with the Chat Option in Project Hub
The Chat option in the Project Hub makes it easy for teams to communicate and collaborate directly within the TimeTracker application. Instead of switching to external tools, you can discuss project-related updates, clarify doubts, and share important information right where your projects are managed.
How to Use the Chat Option
Open the Chat Tile
Navigate to the Project Hub module.
Click on the Chat tile to access the messaging interface.
Send a Message
In the “Text your message” field, type your message.
Click Post to send it.
Receive Notifications
Team members with access to the Chat page will see a notification (a red mark) on the Salesforce notification icon whenever there is a new message.
If your org has enabled email notifications, users will also receive an email alert for new chats.
Engage with Specific Users
To direct a message to a particular user, type the @ sign in the text field and search for the user’s name.
This ensures that the tagged user is notified and can respond directly.
Chat Feature in the Project View Page
We’ve added a new chat mechanism directly to the Project View page. This allows you to collaborate with your teammates without leaving the project you’re working on.
Even users who may not have access to the Project Hub module can now participate in project discussions. This ensures that every team member stays connected and informed, no matter which module they are working in.
With this update, communication becomes easier, and collaboration remains seamless across the entire team.
