Follow the steps below to add the auto timer and hide it from users:


Console App:


  1. Navigate to the Case view page in the Console app.
  2. Search for "Auto Record" (Console App) and drag it to any desired location on the Case view page.
  3. Enable the "Hide Timer" checkbox, then save your changes.


Salesforce Custom app:


To hide the auto timer in the custom app


  1. Navigate to the Case view page in the Custom app.
  2. Search for "Auto Record" and drag it to any desired location on the Case view page.
  3. Enable the "Hide Timer" checkbox, then save your changes.




Once these steps are completed, the time will be tracked, but the timer will not be visible to users when they access the Case View page.


Note: The auto timer can be enabled for any object in Salesforce. In this example, Cases are used as a sample.
