Understanding Time Differences in TT Details Due to Time Zones
If you notice a difference in Check-In and Check-Out times for some users in the TT Details object, it is likely due to a mismatch in time zones between the TimeTracker user and the Salesforce Administrator.
Example Scenario:
Let’s say your Head Office is in California (PST/PDT) and you have a Branch in India (IST).
A TimeTracker user in India checks in/out using the PK4 TimeTracker app, and their activity is recorded in Indian Standard Time (IST).
A Manager in California views the report or time details in Salesforce, where the org's timezone is set to PST/PDT.
Salesforce automatically converts the check-in/out times to PST/PDT, which may appear different from the actual time the user checked in/out.
Key Points to Note:
The TT Details tab displays time based on the Salesforce org’s timezone, not the actual timezone of the user checking in or out.
The TimeTracker Web and Mobile apps follow the timezone of the API (oAuth) user, which may differ from the user’s local timezone.
If you want the TT Details to reflect times in a specific timezone (e.g., IST or PST), you must adjust the Salesforce org’s default timezone accordingly. Click here to know more.
