There is no limitation for assigning tasks to the users,

You can assign tasks to any number of people that report to you.
Click here to know more about assigning tasks to the users
In the add assignment field, you see all the user names that report to you,
Click on the user name to assign the Task, select the user one after the other and click the Done button.
Now the task is assigned to all the users that you selected from the add assignment list.
