You can create a new project from the Project Management app in Salesforce and also assign Tasks to the users that report to you.


To create a new Project

  • Go to the Project Management tab in Salesforce
  • Click the New Project button, you see the pop up as in the screenshot below
  • Enter the Project name, Start Date, End Date, and description, and click the Save button
  • A new project is now created in Salesforce.


To assign Tasks


  • Once the project is created, you see it in the Projects list on the Gantt screen,
  • Click the + button to assign a Task to the users
  • Once you click the + button, you see a small popup enter the Task details and select the user from the Assignments list
  • Click the Done button,
  • The Task is now assigned to the user.
