You can add time using the Multiline Time Entry screen even when you are already Checked-In to a Job

If you are currently checked in and then enter time using the Multiline Time Entry for the current day and at the same time that you are checked in, by default, the app considers the time entries made using the Multiline Time Entry screen.

e.g:
  • If you are checked in to a job at 1:00 p.m. today and still checked in until 4:00 p.m., and you then make a time entry using the Multiline Time Entry screen for the same day from 2:00 p.m. to 3:30 p.m., the 2:00 to 3:30 p.m. entry is saved.

On the web app, the Check-Out button is changed to Check-In because the app does not know which entry should be considered — the one from the Multiline Time Entry Check-In or the entry done using the Check-In screen.

The Check-Out button being changed to Check-In only affects the web app. In Salesforce, the Check-Out time for the 1:00 p.m. entry is blank. This is intentional, and the administrator can review and communicate with the user about the multiple time entries at the same time for the same day.

The Check-Out time being blank in Salesforce serves as a point of review. The administrator can inquire why there are multiple entries for the same time and day, as a user cannot work on two projects simultaneously. The user can cross-check the time details, and if necessary, they can edit the time entries in the My Time screen on the web app. They can add the correct Check-Out time by entering the End time or delete the entry if it is a duplicate.
