Ensure that the Volunteer you are setting up in V4S Mobile user already has a Contact record in Salesforce. If the Volunteer does not have a Contact record set up, please do that first.
Here are the instructions for setting up new V4S Mobile Users (once you've verified that s/he has a Contact record in Salesforce:
- Login as Salesforce Administrator
- Go to the V4S Mobile Users tab
- Click the New Button
- On the Contact field, click on the Search icon to find the required Volunteer contact record
- Select the Contact
- On the V4S Mobile User page, we suggest that you add the current date and time in the First Registered Date and Time field. When volunteers are registered using the V4S Personal or V4S Kiosk, this field is automatically updated. When you are creating volunteers in V4S Mobile from within Salesforce, we suggest that you update this field manually, so you can track when this User record was created.
- Click on Save.
You have now created a V4S Mobile User.
The Volunteer's Contact record has an Email ID already set up. That is the Email ID that the volunteer uses to Sign in to the V4S Kiosk or the V4S Personal and to Check-in for Jobs/Shifts.
While creating a V4S Mobile User in Salesforce, you would have selected a Contact from your Salesforce contacts. See the screenshot below for details. In this example, I have selected Justin Paul
If you look at this User's Contact Record, you will see an E-mail ID on that record as in the screenshot below
This is the email ID that the V4S Kiosk/Personal user should use to login to the V4S Kiosk or to the V4S Personal application.
The password entered at the first login of the V4S Kiosk/Personal is saved as the same password must be used for future logins.
